All About Me:

Professionally

Kameryn is a compassionate and dedicated clinician who is deeply committed to supporting individuals and families through life’s most meaningful and challenging transitions. She works with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular passion for perinatal mental health. As a certified full-spectrum doula, Kameryn brings a unique, holistic lens to her work, offering birth and postpartum support to new and growing families.

Before joining Prospering Hope, Kameryn gained diverse experience in nonprofit leadership, group facilitation, and mental health services. Her background also includes work in social-emotional learning with children, allowing her to support family systems from a developmental and relational perspective. Kameryn is dedicated to meeting clients where they are and honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, and relationships.

Kameryn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Studies from Louisiana State University, with minors in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies (Geaux Tigers!). She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!). Her clinical approach is grounded in somatic-based therapeutic techniques, reflecting her belief that the body holds valuable insight and plays a vital role in healing and mental wellness.

Kameryn remains committed to supporting families in a variety of capacities and is passionate about creating a therapeutic space that is affirming, collaborative, and empowering.

Personally

Outside of her work, Kameryn is a proud mother to two little ones (ages 5 and 3), who keep her laughing, learning, and on her toes. She enjoys tending to her garden, crocheting, practicing yoga, reading, and listening to music. She happily embraces moments of connection, laughter, and a good “yap” with people she cares about. Kameryn is intentional about nurturing her nervous system and believes healing can look different from moment to moment, sometimes that means movement, sometimes rest, and sometimes joy. She values authenticity, curiosity, and meaningful connection, and brings that same warmth and playfulness into both her personal life and her work.
