Along with a play therapy certification, Kellie has had training in Sand tray Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Kellie Johnson holds a master’s degree (MA) in clinical mental health counseling, as well as a certification in Play Therapy from Sam Houston State University. Additionally, she has obtained a bachelor's degree (BA) in interdisciplinary studies and a Texas teaching certificate for early childhood education through 6th grade. Kellie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and is supervised by Evelyn Fitzgerald, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S.

Kellie is a professional member of Texas Counseling Association (TCA), American Counseling Association (ACA), and the Association of Play Therapy (APT).

Personally

Kellie is originally from the Woodlands, married to her high school sweetheart for over 33 years, and the mother of three adult children. She is active in advocacy for type one diabetes, loves interior design, and an avid tennis player.
