Before joining Prospering Hope PLLC, Christopher Shelton worked in Community Mental Health for 7 years, providing skills training services, therapy, and case management to underprivileged individuals in the deep East-Texas area. He has extensive experience assisting individuals with overcoming severe mental health conditions such as Major Depressive disorder, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective disorders, and anxiety. He attended Stephen F. Austin State university, graduating first with a BA in Psychology & minor in Child Development before then graduating with an MA in Professional Counseling.
Personally
Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife of nearly 5 years, building up his collection of vintage Star Wars Lego models, learning about history and different therapeutic modalities, going for walks around the community, and traveling (both domestically and internationally).
